Spent Automotive Catalyst (Sweeps)

This sweeps-based CRM is produced from fine particulate material recovered from catalytic converter processing residues — including dust, fines, floor sweepings, and fragmented monolith particles. This material is lower in grade compared to a Monolith, but still valuable as a representation of real-world plant feedstock in the recovery and analysis of platinum group metals from end-of-life vehicle catalysts and is intended for use in method validation, quality control, and calibration of analytical instruments. The material is rich in platinum group elements (PGEs) — in particular platinum (Pt), palladium (Pd), and rhodium (Rh) — and offers a homogeneous and high-grade source for calibration and quality control. This certified reference material has been characterised using various total analytical methodologies.
