The material used to produce gold ore standard OREAS 10P was obtained from the Wonga mine in Stawell, west-central Victoria. It consists of a quartz-sericite-carbonate schist assemblage containing approximately 2% sulphides, mainly arsenopyrite and pyrite. Some of the gold is refractory in occurrence, being hosted by arsenopyrite.
