OREAS 245b

OREAS 245b was prepared predominantly from high-grade gold ore sourced from the Fosterville Gold Mine in Victoria, Australia. The Fosterville material is representative of orogenic gold mineralisation hosted within the Lachlan Fold Belt and is characterised by quartz-vein-hosted gold mineralisation.

Barren hornfels and basalt materials were incorporated as matrix components, together with minor additions of sulphidic gold ore from Agate Creek, Queensland, and gold ore from the Kensington Mine, Alaska, to achieve the target high-grade gold concentration.

OREAS 245b has been characterized using the following methods:

  • Gold by Pb collection fire assay (25-50g charge weight) with AAS and ICP-OES finish
  • Gold by PhotonAssay™
  • Full ICP-OES and ICP-MS elemental suites by 4-acid (HNO3-HF-HClO4-HCl) digestion
  • Full ICP-OES and ICP-MS elemental suites by aqua regia digestion

Certified values for applicable analytes are operationally defined for each method, with results under OREAS ISO 17034 scope of accreditation.

Note: Analyte values are indicative only and may change when certified.
