OREAS 355

OREAS 355 is a zinc-rich polymetallic sulphide concentrate CRM sourced from the Mount Isa mining district in Queensland, Australia. The concentrate was produced from Zn-Pb-Ag ores of the Mount Isa region and is intended for the analysis of zinc, lead, silver and associated elements within a sulphide concentrate matrix.

OREAS 355 has been characterized using the following methods:

  • Zn by classical volumetric titration
  • Major elements by oxidising fusion with XRF finish
  • Full ICP-OES and ICP-MS elemental suites by 4-acid (HNO3-HF-HClO4-HCl) digestion
  • Hg by aqua regia digestion with ICP finish or by dedicated mercury analyser
  • Total S by infrared combustion furnace

Certified values for applicable analytes are operationally defined for each method, with results under OREAS ISO 17034 scope of accreditation.
