OREAS 712

OREAS 712 is a primary CRM prepared from gravity-separated fractions of the Westland Heavy Mineral Sands deposit. The material contains elevated levels of TiO₂, Fe, and Zr and represents a composite of low-, high-, and concentrate-grade heavy mineral sands. It is designed for use in the validation and quality control of methods targeting titanium-, iron-, and zirconium-bearing minerals in sediment-hosted mineral sands systems.

OREAS 712 has been characterized using the following methods:

  • Borate Fusion XRF- Majors and some traces
  • Thermogravimetric LOI at 1000 °C
  • 4-Acid – Full ICP-OES and MS elemental suites

Certified values for applicable analytes are operationally defined for each method, with results under OREAS ISO 17034 scope of accreditation.

Note: Analyte values are indicative only and may change when certified.
