OREAS 721

OREAS 721 is a certified reference material (CRM) prepared from a high-grade graphite concentrate and a blend of barren black slate sourced from Victoria and limestone sourced from Batesford Quarry, near Geelong, Victoria, Australia.

OREAS 721 has been characterized using the following methods:

  • Total Graphitic Carbon (TGC) by dilute acid (HCl) digestion followed by roasting at approx. 425 °C, then analysis by infrared combustion furnace
  • Total Carbon (C) by infrared combustion furnace

Certified values for applicable analytes are operationally defined for each method, with results under OREAS ISO 17034 scope of accreditation.
