OREAS 906b

OREAS 906b was prepared from a blend of copper oxide ore and barren weathered rhyodacite. The ore was sourced from a copper rich zone within MMG’s VMS Gossan Hill deposit at Golden Grove and the rhyodacite was obtained from a quarry approximately 30km east of Melbourne, Australia. The Gossan Hill deposit is located 338km NNE of Perth in the Murchison Province of the Archaen Yilgarn Craton in Western Australia. The ore deposit is hosted within and underlain by a layered rhyodacitic volcanoclastic succession. The pre-oxidation mineralisation assemblage consisted of sphalerite, chalcopyrite and lesser galena with a gangue of pyrite, pyrrhotite and magnetite.
