OREAS 998

OREAS 998 is a copper-gold sulphide concentrate CRM sourced from the Prominent Hill Mine in South Australia. The material is derived from iron oxide copper-gold (IOCG) mineralisation and is intended for the analysis of copper, gold and associated elements within a sulphide concentrate matrix.

OREAS 998 has been characterized using the following methods:

  • Cu by Classical Wet Chemistry
  • Gold by Pb collection fire assay (25-50g charge weight) with AAS and ICP-OES finish
  • Major elements by oxidising fusion with XRF finish
  • Full ICP-OES and ICP-MS elemental suites by 4-acid (HNO3-HF-HClO4-HCl) digestion
  • Total S by infrared combustion furnace
  • Fluorine by ion selective electrode

Certified values for applicable analytes are operationally defined for each method, with results under OREAS ISO 17034 scope of accreditation.

Note: Analyte values are indicative only and may change when certified.
