New Suite of Iron Ore CRMs Released From Hawks Nest Magnetite Project

We’re pleased to announce the release of a new series of Certified Reference Materials (CRMs) developed from high-grade iron ore sourced at the Hawks Nest Magnetite Project in South Australia. These new additions are designed to support laboratories engaged in iron ore exploration, grade control, and resource evaluation.

Introducing OREAS 408
At the forefront of this release is OREAS 408, a hematite-dominant CRM containing approximately 86% hematite and 3% magnetite. This material is representative of the iron-rich mineralisation found in major deposits across Australia and the globe. Sourced under exploration license from Peak Iron Mines, the sample was collected approximately 120 kilometres south of Coober Pedy and has been expertly prepared and certified in accordance with ISO 17034 standards.

A Broader CRM Suite for Iron Ore Applications
To support a broader range of iron ore analytical workflows, we’ve also released four additional CRMs from the same project: OREAS 411, 412, 413, and 415. These materials provide a matrix-matched suite that covers varying grades and compositions, allowing laboratories to maintain consistent accuracy across different analytical scenarios.
