OREAS 13c is a multi-element Certified Reference Material containing low levels of platinum group elements (PGEs), copper, nickel, and gold dispersed within a gabbro-norite matrix.
Fresh gabbro-norite host rock was sourced from the Black Hill Norite Complex (South Australia). Various ore materials, including ultramafic nickel sulphide ores from (Western Australia) and mafic-hosted Cu-Ni-PGE ore from Sudbury (Canada), some high grade copper ore from Cobar region of New South Wales, and ultramafic-hosted PGE ores from the Merensky and UG2 Reefs (South Africa), were combined with the gabbro-norite.
OREAS 13c has been characterized using the following methods:
Certified values for applicable analytes are operationally defined for each method, with results under OREAS ISO 17034 scope of accreditation.
