OREAS 723b

OREAS 723b has been prepared from crystalline vein graphite rich ore blended with granodiorite. The vein type graphite material was sourced from the Queens Graphite Mine (QGM) in the Matale/Kurunegala Project area in central Sri Lanka. The barren I-type hornblende-bearing granodiorite was sourced from the Late Devonian Lysterfield granodiorite complex located in eastern Melbourne, Australia.

OREAS 723b has been characterised for Total Graphite Carbon (TGC) by dilute acid (HCl) digestion followed by roasting at approx. 425 °C, then analysis by infrared combustion furnace.

Certified values for applicable analytes are operationally defined for each method, with results under OREAS ISO 17034 scope of accreditation.
