OREAS 913

OREAS 913 is a copper–gold certified reference material produced from a blend of volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) ores and rhyodacite host rocks sourced from the Firefly deposit, Canada. This CRM is intended for calibration and quality control of analytical methods quantifying low-level Au, Ag, Cu and Zn in VMS-style mineral systems. It replicates the mineralogical and geochemical characteristics of natural Cu–Au VMS deposits, making it suitable for use in routine laboratory QA/QC applications.

OREAS 913 has been characterized using the following methods:

  • Gold by fire assay (15-50g charge weight) with ICP-OES, ICP-MS or AAS finish
  • Gold by aqua regia digestion (10-50g sample weight) with ICP-OES, ICP-MS or AAS finish
  • Full ICP-OES and ICP-MS elemental suites by 4-acid (HNO3-HF-HClO4-HCl) digestion
  • Full ICP-OES and ICP-MS elemental suites by aqua regia digestion
  • Copper by Sequential leach: acid leach, alkaline leach, residual leach and calculated total

Certified values for applicable analytes are operationally defined for each method, with results under OREAS ISO 17034 scope of accreditation.

Note: Analyte values are indicative only and may change when certified.
