Certified Reference Material OREAS 24e was prepared from olivine tholeiitic basalt from the Quaternary Newer Volcanics Province in Victoria, Australia. It is characterised by very low background gold of less than 2 parts per billion.
Fifteen commercial analytical laboratories participated in the program to characterise full ICP-OES and MS elemental suites by 4-acid digestion and Au by fire assay.
